The Badrinath Temple region:–The Badrinath temple at the height of 3200 mts and is one of the most important, and holy place in Hind region. The Badrinath temple devoted to Lord Vishnu stands at the Bank of River Alaknanda.
The Badrinath region is alpine zone of Alaknanda valley surrounded by huge mountains from all side. A quick bath in natural Hot water ponds / hot water springs refreshes one’s body and mind for further trek to Satopanth.
Trekkers can rest here to get themselves acclimatized to enter the deep Himalayas.
Mana Village:-Mana village is at the height of 3220 mts and is the last village of the Alaknanda valley with close proximity to China Border. It is a heritage village where villagers who are basically from Bhutia tribe stay for half the year i.e. from May to October as for the rest of the year the region is covered with deep snow making human survival impossible. . Tourists/ Trekkers can enjoy stay in Mana and can see their tradition and culture under village tourism concept there are some other places also to see like Bhim Pul, Vyas Gufa and the thrilling sight of river Saraswati.
Anand Van:-Anand van is at the height of 3500 mts above sea level dazzling one with the view of Alaknanda’s source. Trekkers arrive at place which is covered by many types of Alpine flowers which innately compels one to stop and inhale the beauty around.
Laxshmi Van:-At a height of 3700 mts above sea level is a beautiful little meadow on the bank of Alaknanda surrounded by huge rocky mountains. Close view of rocks and meandering way of river create a mesmerizing picture from Laxmi Van. Scattered bhoj patra trees attract ones attention. It is believed that Draupadi renounced her body here on the way to Heaven.
Sahastradhara: –At a height of 4000 mts is a place where thousands of water droppings fall together from melting snow of Mountain Neelkanth of the Greater Himalayan range.
Chakratirth: –At a height of 4500 mts is the last camping place on this camping trek encircled by glaciers. This is the place where Arjuna attained salvation.
Satopanth Lake: –At a height of 4600 mts is a glacial lake small but beautiful at the bottom of Swargarohini mountain. The lake is surrounded by lofty snow clad mountain peaks like Parvati, Chaukhamba One.
Vasudhara Fall.:–One can also have a view of Vasudhara a 100 mts high waterfall on the trek route of Satopanth
