Deoriatal is a beautiful freshwater lake situated at an altitude of 2400 meters, which diameter is about to 800 meters. This lake is considered to be a holy lake behind which the story of Mahabharata period. After a beautiful trek of 2.5 Km from Sari Village, one can reach to this pristine. This trek is a little steep in the beginning, but after the steep climb, the trek become easier and passes through the forest of oak and rhododendron, so this trek has been kept in the category of easy trek.

The Deoriatal lake is surrounded by different species of trees from all sides, in which oak and Rhododendron trees are in abundance. The panoramic view of the Himalayas in the backdrop of the lake mesmerizes you and, it seems to be like an imaginary picture. The place offers some magical views in the early morning hours, before 9Am. It is famous for the reflection of snow clad Himalayan peaks in to the lake water in the morning and for sunrise views. It is a pleasant feeling to see the Reflection of Chaukhamba peak into the water and this view is one of the best shot for a nature lover photographer.

Devariya lake area is one of the best places for stargazing and also famous for full moon views. For all these things you need to stay one night near to the lake. There are few hotels or Camps near the lake. You have to book a hotel or camp in advance, to see all the beautiful sights of this place.
