Kedarkhantha Trek provide you a great opportunity to visualize the scenic beauty of the Grater Himalaya, alpine meadows, Tons river valley, and experience the life of remote cultural Villages (known as Rawai Ghathi) of Garhwal Himalaya. Kedarkantha trek goes through the Govind National park and gives you ample time to soak in the flora and fauna of this protected area up to Kedarkantha peak. Kedarkantha peak (3850mt) is situated in the mountains of the tons river valley is a beautiful ridge peak and it is easily accessible throughout the year. In the winters it snows in Rawai valley (tons Valley) hence views from the summit are very rewarding. The summit lies at an altitude of 3850 m and reaching the top is very satisfying as you are rewarded with views of peaks like the Swargarohini, Banderpooch, Black and Ranglana.
Day I : Dehradun- Sankri: (215 km/ 9 hours)
Pick up from Dehradun station/ Airport in morning by 9 am. As we drive to Sankri we will be greeted by scenic views and river bodies via Mussoorie, Barkot, Purola, Mori and Netwar. We will halt at strategic locations for photo opportunities and lunch. Reach hotel at Sankri, dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day II : Sankri- Juda Lake (5 km/ 4 hours)
After early breakfast we commence our trek to Juda Lake. We can catch beautiful glimpse of snow clad peaks from Juda Talab surrounded by pine and oak forests. Dinner and overnight stay in tents near small pond.
